City of Birmingham Archives and Collections

Our archive collections include records of the City Council and urban district councils, wills, deeds, manorial and estate papers, personal and family papers, photographs, letters and diaries, oral history recordings, trade catalogues and theatre programmes.

Amongst our many special collections are the Archives of Soho for Matthew Boulton and James Watt, the Bournville Village Trust, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Vanley Burke archive.
