Shropshire pins historic photographs to an online map

At our recent Friends’ Event we were very fortunate to hear about some of the wonderful projects undertaken by the various Friends of Archives groups across the region.

One such project was a wonderful mapping project being completed in Shropshire. The project is linking historic photographs in Shropshire Archives collection to an online map. This clever use of metadata allows people to search for information and is not dependent on a place name or an address.
