AWM - the next five years!

Having successfully achieved its initial aims, AWM is now developing its strategy for the next five years to ensure it continues to support its members and deliver high quality results for archives across the West Midlands.

The Board of Trustees has met to shape a first draft and AWM is now seeking members’ views to ensure that the network’s plans meet members’ needs and reflect the areas they consider important.

Workshops

AWM will be holding two workshops in February 2023.  These workshops have been designed to give AWM members a chance to explore and shape the network’s aims, core offer and key workstreams.   They will also be a good opportunity to meet and talk with staff from other member services and find ways to progress areas of professional activity that would benefit from a collaborative approach.

Kevin J Bolton Ltd

AWM Trustees have been working with Kevin J Bolton Ltd to create the draft strategy and Kevin will be facilitating the workshops.  Kevin will support members to consider the aims of the strategy, what the core offer AWM provides it members should be and what projects, training and support member services want over the next five years.

Building on success

AWM is excited to be working with Kevin and member services to build on the successes delivered under the first strategy.  AWM’s trustees and member services will create a strategy that will set out plans for the next five years, supporting members to continue to deliver, grow and overcome shared challenges.
