Creating metadata for digital preservation – a practitioners’ workshop
December 2, 2021 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at Zoom
The next event in AWM’s Digital Progress Programme will be another of our popular practitioners’ workshop. This time we’ll be hearing about how three institutions develop metadata for digital preservation activity. Our speakers will be:
Cassandra Pickavance, Archivist (Digital Preservation), Dorset Joint Archives Service
Ruth Sheret, Archivist, Special Collections, Newcastle University Library
Anna de Sousa, Senior Digital Archivist (Team Leader), The National Archives
Each will be sharing their daily working experiences of how metadata is created at their institution so there will be lots of practical advice and opportunity for questions.
This workshop is open to all staff whose employer is a member of AWM. There is no limit on the number of staff who can attend from each organization.
The workshop is free of charge and will be held by Zoom between 9.30am and 11am on Thursday 2nd December 2021.
