Book in for your AWM Archive Service Health Check

The last two years have been bruising for archive services.  Covid closed many services for months, changed working practices, forced new service delivery models and led to changes in workforces.

Underneath this are long-term needs such as adapting to digital technologies, radically improving diversity and inclusivity, funding cuts and leveraging diverse new opportunities.  Meanwhile the core functions of identifying, managing and providing access to collections have to be maintained, often with reduced resources.

The AWM Archive Service Health Check will provide you with the opportunity to take stock and identify your service’s priorities using the ARA Resilience Indicator and share experiences with peers.  The National Archives will also be present to talk about the Accreditation Scheme and answer your questions. In particular the workshop will:

  • Help services identify the strengths and weaknesses facing them now and in the next five years
  • Support unaccredited archive services plan to work towards Accreditation
  • Guide accredited services to plan for Accreditation reviews and renewals

Tuesday 5 July 2022, 10am – 12.30pm
